Chizu Commodities International, a strategic business unit of Chizu Investments Corporation, was established in 2003 with Head Offices in Windhoek, Namibia and branches in Zambia and South Africa. The company is a market leader in Southern and Eastern Africa, specializing in merchandising, distributing, importing and exporting of agricultural commodities primarily grain, frozen fish and oilseeds products.
The Chizu Commodities International has merchandised and traded bulk
agricultural commodities in international markets for more than five
years. The company is one of the Southern Africa’s reputable
and experienced merchandisers of grains, frozen fish and oilseeds.
Our major products are:
Grains: GMO Free White Maize Corn, all types of Beans, Yellow Corn, Groundnuts (peanut), Wheat, Cassava meal, and Rice.
Frozen Fish: Horse Mackerel, Mackerel, Sardines, Oil Seeds: Jatropha, Sunflower, Groundnuts/peanuts and Caster seeds for Bio Oil products and Bio Diesel production.
History
Frederick Chizu
Simpungwe established the Chizu Commodities International as an important
strategic business unit of Chizu Investments Corporation in Zambian
and Namibia and in 2003. He is the company’s current chief executive
officer and board chairman.
An International Chartered Marketer and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing/UK, Frederick started trade business at the age of 11 (even) while pursuing his low primary school (grade 4) education at Mpande Primary School. During inter-school sports events, he sold various consumable agricultural commodities including fruits from his parents’ and other peasant farmers fields within his village.
In 1986, after leaving school and at the age of (18), eighteen, Frederick started work as Assistant Accountant while at the same time he pursued his international trade business. He bought house hold goods and clothes from Tanzania and South Africa and sold them in Zambia. His business acumen grew from stage to stage and in 2003, he started Chizu Investments Corporation Limited with two Strategic Business Units “The Centre for Training & Projects Development and Chizu Commodities International” and recently embarked on three other new Strategic Business Units that are yet to be commercialized. These are “Chizu Farming, Chizu Properties and Chizu Bio Oils.
Over the past five years CCI has pursued new and diverse opportunities
in a wide range of markets. Frederick has embodied the qualities with
which this has been done: vision, discipline and energy.
